The National Health Service

The National Health Service (NHS), which was established in 1948, has developed through the years to become the world’s greatest publicly funded health service. The main goals of the NHS are to provide health care services to everyone despite their wealth or status and that everyone in the society receives good treatment. However, there are some charges on some particular treatments such as prescriptions, optical and dental services. The NHS provides care to all citizens or inhabitants of the United Kingdom.  There are more than 60 million people who receive free treatment from the NHS. The NHS provides health care to 4 nations but it is managed separately and in addition there have been some slight changes between them especially in recent years. The NHS is funded by national insurance and general taxation. Today the NHS faces some problems such as lack of funding, shortage of staff and long waiting lists.

The pharmacies clip which was shown to us tells us how the pharmacies use the reboots, which is more accurate than the human being, to organise the medicine in order and quantity for the patients. The pharmacists help people who are in need of special medicine such as tablets to be taken at a particular a date and time. People can also ask the pharmacist for advice about the medicines.
